Women entering Cape Town’s ‘most beautiful road race’ will once again help a less fortunate child to smile. The SPAR women’s race has, for the seventh year in a row, chosen Operation Smile South Africa as its race beneficiary.

The popular road race takes place in the precints of Green Point on Sunday, 17 April and R5 of each entry will be donated to Operation Smile.

“We are delighted to once again be this special event’s charity of choice. By participating in this race all entrants are helping to change the lives of children born with cleft lips and palates, who don’t have easy access to treatment,” says Adva Brivik-Prins of Operation Smile South Africa.

Advertising manager of SPAR Western Cape encourages Cape Town’s women to enter the race and support this worthy cause at the same time. “Together we will be able to give these children a better life.”

Entry fee is R80 for both the 10km and the 5km fun run. Entry forms are available at all KWIKSPAR, SPAR or SUPERSPAR stores.

Enter in-store at selected stores: SUPERSPAR (Aurora, Belhar, Cape Gate, Century, Die Boord, Kuilsriver, Paarl East, Parklands, Plattekloof, Rosmead, Royal Ascot, Stellenbosch, Vangate or Zevenwacht); SPAR (Old Oak, Sea Point, Sonstraal or Welgedacht) and KWIKSPAR Somerset.

Visit www.spar.co.za to enter online. Contact RaceTec on 087 820 7221 to find out more about the race or email queries@racetec.co.za.
