Parking and Registration

We only have one entrance into our parking areas, and urge runners to arrive early to avoid congestion when people arrive late.  The start will not be delayed to accommodate late comers.

Number collection for pre-entries will be held at the Fish Hoek Amateur Soccer Club (across the parking area).  As always with the late entries in the Fish Hoek Athletic Club remember that we normally have a large number of people entering on the morning.  Please take this into account and arrive timeously for the registration starting at 04h30.

We have ordered double the number of portable toilets at the start / finish areas in addition to the facilities available at the Athletic, Soccer and Cricket Club.  We were most disappointed last year to hear that runners were using the bushes around the fields for this.  We also have two portable toilets on a trailer, which will be the Perdekloof split.

We appeal to all runners to make use of the bins provided on the route for the disposal of all race waste. We will provide sufficient bins along the route. The route takes the runners through some eco sensitive areas and we would like to continue using this route in the future.  We have four cardboard bins per table, plus additional wheelie bins at Witsands, Misty Cliffs, Perdekloof split and the bottom of Red Hill.  We have also requested residents to put their bins out along the route, so if you see wheelie bins placed on the pavement, please know that someone, possibly not even involved in running, is showing their support for #RunClean.  Please also note the race rule:  “Any runner guilty of tossing cups or water sachets anywhere else but on the tar may be disqualified”

Keeping on the #RunClean, we have ten wheelie bins at the finish, along with four waste skips as well as the blue bins all around the field.  Please use these bins to avoid rubbish blowing around.

On this note, we wish to advise all clubs that distribution of race flyers or any other advertising by handing out or placing on car windscreens will not be permitted. There will be a table available in the clubhouse for all clubs to place flyers.

Please remember that, in addition to 5 hour race cut-off, for safety reasons, there will be a cut-off at the 27km/33km mark at 4 hours 10 minutes.  This is just before Red Hill Road joins Simon's Town

Road, and we will have a vehicle to take any runners not through this point to the finish.
