The Cape Town Festival of Running is back, featuring two days of amazing running along the Sea Point Promenade with its picturesque views.  And thanks to the official endorsement of the Two Oceans Marathon (TOM) NPC – as part of TOM’s dedication to supporting the community and promoting the development of running and ultra distance participation in the Western Cape -  the Hewat Athletics Club is able to stage the event in its entirety this year, including:

·         100km Ultra & 50km Mini Ultra (both recognized IAAF distances and qualifiers for the 2016 Old Mutual Two Oceans Ultra Marathon and Comrades.)
·         5 x 5km Team Relay
·         21.1km Classic (27 September)

The 100km Ultra is an official WPA Championship event, while the 21.1km Classic carries Coca-Cola League status among running clubs.

This is a special event on the Cape Town race calendar, and the 100kmand 50kmfollows a similar loop format to the Dutch 100km World Champs. It is safe and scenic, and suited to elite, serious and recreational athletes alike.
