Race Walking Clinic – Saturday, 25th July 2015
10.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon at the K-Way VOB clubhouse
What is race walking? That rolling hips/wiggly bottom walking event usually only heard of once every 4 years when its Olympics time.
Why race walk when you can run? Sometimes the running legs get tired and it’s great to be able to race walk instead, especially when competing in a marathon or ultra. You use your arm, pelvis and leg muscles differently and this aids in the recovery of your running muscles.
Want to know more about it? Join K-Way VOB for a race walking clinic on Saturday, 25th July, 10.00 a.m. at the clubhouse.
Are you a complete beginner wanting to learn how to race walk? Have you tried it before and now want to perfect your technique? Are you a regular walker wanting to improve your racing times? All welcome!
Well known walking coach Jurgen Spencer will be giving a talk, followed by a practical session so come dressed to walk, i.e. track suit pants/shorts and takkies. Flip flops, boots and stilettos NOT recommended.
