The SA 21.1km Championships is taking place on Sunday 26 August at the Cape Academy of Mathematics, Science & Technology, Firgrove Way, Constantia.

The SA Half Marathon Championships is a competition for both men and women, and are open to all ASA member provinces.
The SA Championships event is an event only for South African Athletes subject to the under mentioned qualifying standards and the advertised prize money will be paid to individual athletes in their finishing order. The SA Championships titles and medals (Men & Women) will be awarded to the first South African athlete even if he/she is not part of a provincial team.
On arrival Team Managers must have copies of athlete’s ID books (passports) available for checking the year of birth, if requested for category prize winners. All ASA & IAAF Rules will be implemented.

Athletes not selected to represent a province can enter as individuals on condition that the entry is done through the province in which they are registered. Provinces entering individuals should certify that those individual athletes are licensed and in good standing with the province. Provinces have first call on any athlete and an athlete entered by a province must take part for that province and may not enter individually. Individually entered athletes should compete in their registered club colours or any other unbranded kit.
