| Western Province Athletics mourns the death of Mr Ramon Poggenpoel, he passed away on Friday, 7 June, after a long illness at the age of 67 years. He played a meaningful role in athletics both as an administrator in the old Spartans Athletic Club and the UWC Athletic Club. He presented many courses both as facilitator and presenter for the Department of Sport and Culture and the City of Cape Town. He was an ardent Technical Official until his withdrawal from the athletics scene some two years ago.... |
